VTGI has a pool of mineral exploration experts who have wide-ranging experience in the exploration of different types of mineral resources in the country. These experts not only possess competent knowledge of exploration techniques but are also much familiar with, and have significant field exposure to, Philippine geology, mineralization types, terrain, community and environmental issues.
VTGI capably handles exploration projects at every level, from reconnaissance to detailed and project feasibility phases. Data are integrated using the latest software, providing intuitive models which guide the exploration geologist in planning out the direction of each exploration phase.

We conduct computer-aided and geo-referenced mapping to ensure the highest accuracy in terms of location and related observations and sampling. Any geologic mapping project starts off with collection and study of available data, as well as air photo interpretation to pre-map expected lithology and structures. Geologists and mappers collect data according to the level of detail the project requires.
Data are collated in our database and utilized as inputs to GIS-type maps that are constantly updated with each exploration or mapping phase. Our geological experts combine state-of-the-art technology with old-school common-sense to interpret data and provide practical solutions to geological conundrums and exploration concerns.
As most exposed deposits are already discovered, the conduct of geochemical surveys has evolved to predict subtle signatures that could indicate the position of blind or hidden deposits. VTGI continues to subscribe to latest advances in field and laboratory techniques to enhance geochemical signals that may point to hidden deposits or extensions of known deposits.
Depending on the level of exploration, each deposit type would require sub-surface sampling techniques to derive more information leading to resource evaluation. VTGI has the capability to carry out test pitting, trenching and core drilling of deposits to determine the ore size, grade and configuration. We observe the highest standard of sampling, logging and corresponding QA/QC according to internationally accepted protocols.
We determine the most appropriate sampling techniques (including optimum length/volume/weight) and compositing strategy to suit the physical and grade characteristics of mineralization.
Assay data are fed into statistical/geostatistical programs, thus providing clues to vectors for further exploration or strengthening geologic and mineralization models.
